Group Health & Safety Manager
Salary: £75,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance + Benefits Location: Sheffield (Multi‑site) Sector: Logistics, Distribution & Supply Chain
Recent acquisition activity and continued organisational growth have created a new opportunity for a Group Health & Safety Manager within a alrge and expanding UK logistics group. Assured Safety Recruitment are supporting the organisation as it strengthens its operational structure and introduces enhanced Health & Safety leadership across a multi‑site network.
This newly‑established role will lead a small field‑based team and provide strategic oversight of Health & Safety standards, systems and compliance across transport, warehousing and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional Health & Safety advice and guidance to stakeholders across all operational areas.
Develop and implement group‑wide strategies to reduce risk and support continuous improvement.
Lead the reporting, analysis and presentation of H&S metrics and management information.
Support operational change and development through structured safety planning.
Review, update and embed company safety policies and procedures.
Conduct multi‑site inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
Lead training needs analysis and deliver appropriate safety training interventions.
Promote a consistent approach to hazard identification and reporting.
Provide direction for the ongoing development of management systems.
Support line managers with incident and accident investigations, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
About You
Experience within logistics, retail distribution, warehousing, FMCG or manufacturing.
NEBOSH Diploma (or close to completion).
Proven background in a multi‑site Health & Safety leadership role.
Strong capability in developing and delivering H&S strategy.
Previous team leadership experience beneficial.
Willingness to travel across sites within a daily commutable radius of Sheffield.
Demonstrable experience improving standards and maintaining compliance.
