Health & Safety Consultant (Interim – 6 Months)

Location: Dorset (On-Site)

£60,000–£75,000 Pro Rata

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We're partnering with a well-established UK manufacturer to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Consultant for an initial six-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering and manufacturing business at a key stage in its Health & Safety journey. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll review current arrangements, identify opportunities for improvement and help strengthen systems, culture and compliance across the site.

This role would suit a pragmatic, hands-on Health & Safety professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing positive change and delivering practical improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Review and enhance existing Health & Safety management systems and processes.
• Provide practical advice and support to managers across the business.
• Drive improvements in compliance, risk management and safety culture.
• Lead audits, inspections and incident investigations where required.
• Develop pragmatic solutions that support both operational performance and legal compliance.
• Mentor and coach managers to embed best practice throughout the organisation.

About You

• Proven Health & Safety experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial environment.
• NEBOSH Diploma, Level 6 qualification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and management systems.
• Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence lasting change.
