Safety, Health & Environment Manager 

Assured Safety Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK FMCG group—home to some of the nation’s most iconic and innovative consumer brands. We’re recruiting a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to lead the SHE agenda at their flagship production facility in North London.

This is a high-impact role within a forward-thinking organisation that’s redefining safety culture across its operations. You’ll be part of a supportive senior leadership team, driving strategic change while staying hands-on and visible on the shop floor.

Location: Northwest London (FMCG Manufacturing Site)  

Salary: £60 - £70,000 + car allowance

About the Role

As SHE Manager, you’ll lead a site-wide transformation in safety, health, and environmental performance. Supported by a SHE Coordinator and the wider Group SHE function, you’ll:

  Champion a proactive, people-first safety culture across all levels of the site

• 
  

  Build on existing SHE processes and elevate performance through innovation and engagement

• 
  

  Lead strategic initiatives that make safety relatable, relevant, and inspiring for frontline teams

• 
  

  Deliver behavioural safety programmes and embed continuous improvement across operations

• 
  

  Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership, advocating for SHE in all business decisions

• 
  

  Maintain compliance with UK legislation while pushing boundaries in sustainability and wellbeing

Key Skills

We’re looking for a confident and forward-thinking SHE leader who:

• 
  

  Holds a Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety—Chartered IOSH status desirable

• 
  

  Has proven experience leading SHE strategy in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment

• 
  

  Thrives on visibility, communication, and building trust with diverse teams

• 
  

  Brings a creative approach to safety engagement and behavioural change

• 
  

  Understands the technical and legislative complexities of large-scale production sites

• 
  

  Is passionate about making safety a driver of innovation, not just compliance
