Description

Assured Safety Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading Housing Trust to recruit a Regional HSE Manager. This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a proactive HSE professional who thrives in community-focused environments and is passionate about making a meaningful impact for a national organisation managing a range of housing schemes and providing social care.

 

Regional Health, Safety & Environment Manager

Location: Home-based (with regular travel across Midlands and surrounding regions) 

Industry: Social Housing / Property Management/ Social Care

Salary: £55,000–£60,000 + car allowance + benefits

Key Responsibilities




  • Lead the implementation and development of a robust HSE management system across residential sites


  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments in housing estates, maintenance depots, and office locations


  • Deliver engaging HSE training and toolbox talks to property teams, contractors, and support staff


  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, housing regulations, and internal standards


  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions


  • Collaborate with housing managers and maintenance teams to embed a proactive safety culture


  • Produce clear, actionable reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies


  • Act as the regional point of contact for all HSE matters, including tenant safety and environmental initiatives


 

Key Skills




  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) – essential


  • Experience in housing, facilities management, or property maintenance environments


  • Strong auditing, training, and stakeholder engagement skills


  • Excellent knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation


  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels


  • Self-motivated and organised, with a flexible approach to travel


  • Full UK driving licence
