Divisional Health & Safety Advisor
Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with a large, diverse organisation to recruit a specialist Health and Safety Advisor for one of its key, high risk divisions. You will closely with senior and operational management to drive the health and safety culture and performance across the divisions varied activities.
Carry out site inspections and ensure risk control systems are implemented and follow up on any remedial actions
Identify hazards and conduct investigations to ensure immediate, route and under-lying causes are identified
Design, implement and roll-out a behavioural safety programme in collaboration with colleagues
Provide competent advice and support to ensure legal compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance
Ensure that the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System is up to date and complies with the organisations requirements
Drive and lead on continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing performance
Support the introduction and maintenance of a culture focussed on continuous improvement and working safely without intolerable risk to staff
Undertake staff training and raise the competency levels within the business division.
NEBOSH or Post Grad Diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent experience at degree level
CMIOSH or at GradIOSH membership
Health and Safety experience within an industrial and/or high risk environment
