Location: Based Chelmsford with regular travel across the UK

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance + bonus

Qualifications: Nebosh Diploma or equivalent (exceptional candidates who are working towards their qualification will be considered)

Overview

Assured Safety Recruitment is proudly partnering with an international FMCG manufacturing group to recruit a UK Safety, Health and Environment Business Partner reporting to the Global SHE Director and UK CEO. You will lead the UK SHE team to establish partnerships across the organisations seven sites, driving health, safety and environmental leadership to achieve Safety-Zero Harm goal. We are seeking ambitious and talented individuals, motivated by personal and professional development, who enjoy working in an inclusive business environment.

Role Summary

You will ensure all sites’ safety, health and environmental management systems are developed and deliver continuous improvement and accountability through robust policies, procedures and measurements and are fully compliant with UK legislation while conforming to group policies and procedures.  

You will co-ordinate, maintain and develop the company’s ISO14001, OHSAS18001/ISO45001 management systems.  You will ensure that each site understands and maintains the necessary level of compliance documentation to ensure continued accreditation.

You will provide effective advice, coaching and reporting to leaders, to enable them to better implement the SHE systems and policies.

You will implement improvement initiatives required to achieve the SHE vision and strategy, in collaboration with stakeholders.

You will continue to lead and steer the organisations Behavioural Safety Program.

Key Application Criteria

You will hold the Nebosh Diploma or equivalent or be close to achieving it.

You will have worked in a multi-site role previously with team management skills.

Strong technical knowledge gained within the manufacturing sector.

Experience of working and developing relationships with the enforcement authorities.

Experience of working with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel.
