The Company

Assured Safety Recruitment is working with a manufacturing organisation to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their busy Health & Safety team on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will provide advice, guidance and expertise on Health & Safety strategy and policy and will advise on safety management. 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 


  • Managing Corporate and Group specific health and safety management activities, providing constructive health and safety expertise to all parts of the organisation, contactors and customers.
  • Design and deploy Health & Safety policies and procedures and deliver compliant, competent policy and operational advice across all organisation activities. 
  • Through structured audit and inspection monitor and review compliance with Health & Safety policies and ensure procedures are in place and enforced. Provide improvement and development support. 
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of health and safety and related content of projects and project bids, which have direct impact on the overall performance of the organisation. 
  • Exercise sound judgement utilising professional competence to deliver safe and effective solutions in complex projects and work activities across the international delivery platform; including to ensure safe risk control in designs, working activities and working environments.
  • Act independently on day-to-day issues and provide constructive advice to senior management, product and service delivery teams and contractors on compliance with the safety management systems, to maximise loss prevention.

You will manage all of the above by building and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal colleagues, clients, external contractors and external bodies. You will be based at the Stroud office but may be required to travel on occasion for this role. 

 

Your experience

You will hold a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate and hold IOSH Membership, or be NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) qualified. You will have gained Health & Safety Management experience in property, facilities management and construction, with an excellent understanding of manufacturing risks

What’s on offer

Salary on offer is £45000 - 50,000 , attractive benefits package.
