- Description
HSEQ Advisor with utilities experience required for a three month contract in the Oxfordshire region.
Travelling to construction sites across the region, you will be required to carry out general HSEQ duties and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and best practice guidelines. This will include:-
* carrying out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
* outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
* carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
* ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
* prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy
* lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
* keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements
* record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers
* keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation
* Liaise with client HSEQ function to ensure compliance with client requirement
Suitable candidates will have previous experience working within a Health & Safety capacity within the Utilities and Construction industry, with knowledge Highways and Street Works, digging, trenching and reinstatement works.You hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate in terms of Safety qualifications, and will hold a UK drivers licence, being prepared to travel across the region. You will be available to start a new contract at short notice.
