Description

Do you want more influence, more support, and the chance to help shape a site’s SHE culture — with a business that genuinely backs you?

Are you looking for an environment where you can grow your capability, be coached by an experienced SHE Manager, and play a meaningful role in a company that’s investing heavily in its people and its future?

Health, Safety and Environment Advisor, Market Drayton, Shropshire

If that sounds like the kind of step you’ve been waiting for, this opportunity could be the right fit.

Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with a large UK manufacturing group to recruit a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor for their expanding production facility in Cheshire. You’ll join a committed site SHE team and work closely with an experienced SHE Manager who is passionate about mentoring, coaching, and helping people build confidence in their practice.

This is a business with genuine top‑down buy‑in, a clear improvement journey, and a track record of creating opportunities as the organisation continues to grow. They also offer a structured career pathway, including sponsorship for Level 6 qualifications.

You’ll be a key part of the site SHE team, supporting day‑to‑day safety activity while helping drive longer‑term improvements. The role is hands‑on, visible, and well‑supported, with the chance to build confidence and capability under an experienced SHE Manager.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the development and delivery of the site SHE plan.

  • Working closely with production teams to maintain safe systems of work and encourage consistent standards.

  • Carrying out inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

  • Helping embed a positive safety culture through practical engagement and clear communication.

  • Providing guidance to supervisors and operators on SHE requirements.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects across the site.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing or transport.

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) essential.

  • A practical, approachable style and the ability to build relationships across different teams.

  • Someone who is comfortable being visible on the shop floor and working collaboratively with operational colleagues.

  • A willingness to learn, develop and take on more responsibility over time.

  • Confidence to contribute ideas and support the site’s improvement journey.

What the role offers

  • Strong leadership support and genuine top‑down commitment to SHE.

  • Coaching and development from an experienced SHE Manager.

  • A clear progression pathway, including sponsorship for Level 6 qualifications.

  • The opportunity to influence culture and be part of a growing, well‑invested site.
