Health and Safety Manager (Covering sites inside M25 and Southern East Anglia)

Qualifications: Nebosh Diploma or equivalent (candidates close to qualification completion may be considered)
Assured Safety Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a multi-national manufacturing and retail group, with a strong reputation for innovation and growth to recruit a London based Health and Safety Support Manager to cover approx. eight retail distribution sites within the M25.
You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic health and safety team, who are working to achieve a strong health and safety culture through competent and professional health and safety support and advice to Operations Managers, enabling management to plan and drive and deliver improvements in health and safety performance and compliance.
You will support operational local H&S Advisors in the development and implementation of effective health and safety plans, supporting strategy and improving standards in health, safety, OH and Road Risk. You will work closley with your team to enhance and develop both their technical and non-technical skills.
You will actively develop, promote and improve the health and safety culture across the business and develop and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders. You will provide health and safety advice for site refurbishments or new site fit out / construction projects. You will deputise for your line manager as and when required.
Working with fleet you will manage the risks as part of an injury reduction strategy, ensuring an effective programme is in place to identify the main risks faced by drivers.
You will have a strong background in transport/logistics/distribution or manufacturing, with the ability to achieve good working relationships with colleagues at all levels in the organisation. You will be passionate about safety and focused on achieving objectives with the ability to challenge and influence operational management. You will be qualified to Nebosh Diploma or equivalent (or close to achieving it). A driving licence is essential as is the willingness to travel within the M25.
