We’re working with a dynamic business based in Hampshire, who are expanding their Health, Safety & Environmental function as part of an exciting period of growth and transformation. They’re on the lookout for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is ready to play a key role in shaping and strengthening their HSE performance.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be at the heart of driving health, safety, and environmental best practice across the business. From developing and delivering training, to carrying out risk assessments, audits, and inspections – you’ll be a visible and trusted point of contact for all things HSE.
Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day:
Leading risk assessments and driving practical improvements across operations
Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and supporting ISO 45001 implementation
Gathering and reporting on H&S data to identify trends and influence decision-making
Supporting investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions
Delivering safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture
Carrying out routine site inspections and working with teams to mitigate risk
Helping shape emergency response plans and ensure documentation is always audit-ready
Collaborating with product and quality teams to ensure compliance across all aspects of safety and process
What we’re looking for:
This role would suit someone who’s already working in a similar Health & Safety or QHSE position, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a technical environment. You’ll be confident working with a range of stakeholders and passionate about making a real difference.
Previous experience in a Health & Safety or QHSE role
Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice
Skilled in audits, inspections, and root cause analysis
Excellent communication skills – confident engaging across all levels
Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 (and ideally ISO 45001)
IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable, as well as First Aid training
