Description

Are you a passionate Health & Safety professional looking to take the next step in your career? Do you want to be part of a growing organisation where your input truly makes a difference?

We’re working with a dynamic business based in Hampshire, who are expanding their Health, Safety & Environmental function as part of an exciting period of growth and transformation. They’re on the lookout for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is ready to play a key role in shaping and strengthening their HSE performance.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be at the heart of driving health, safety, and environmental best practice across the business. From developing and delivering training, to carrying out risk assessments, audits, and inspections – you’ll be a visible and trusted point of contact for all things HSE.

Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day:

  • Leading risk assessments and driving practical improvements across operations

  • Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and supporting ISO 45001 implementation

  • Gathering and reporting on H&S data to identify trends and influence decision-making

  • Supporting investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions

  • Delivering safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture

  • Carrying out routine site inspections and working with teams to mitigate risk

  • Helping shape emergency response plans and ensure documentation is always audit-ready

  • Collaborating with product and quality teams to ensure compliance across all aspects of safety and process

What we’re looking for:

This role would suit someone who’s already working in a similar Health & Safety or QHSE position, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a technical environment. You’ll be confident working with a range of stakeholders and passionate about making a real difference.

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety or QHSE role

  • Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice

  • Skilled in audits, inspections, and root cause analysis

  • Excellent communication skills – confident engaging across all levels

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 (and ideally ISO 45001)

  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable, as well as First Aid training

Why join?

  • Be part of a company during an exciting growth phase – your ideas will be heard and your impact will be visible
