About the Company
Assured Safety Recruitment is collaborating with an award-winning commercial construction company to find a dedicated Health & Safety Manager. In this vital role, you'll be a key player, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across all operations.
About the Role
As our Health & Safety Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Site Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits of sites, prepare comprehensive reports, recommend remedial and preventative actions, and highlight areas for improvement.
- Advisory and Support: Provide expert advice and support to Contracts, Projects, and Site Managers, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all employees.
- Quality Management: Manage the Health and Safety and Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards and certifications.
- Compliance and Education: Ensure all personnel understand their statutory duties and responsibilities. Offer mentoring and coaching support to operatives and team members.
- Incident Management: Conduct thorough accident and incident investigations, analyze data, and recommend measures to prevent future occurrences.
- RAMS Review: Scrutinize contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), develop task-specific RAMS, and review them as necessary.
- Training and Campaigns: Oversee and deliver induction training, daily activity briefings, and toolbox talks. Implement and promote health, safety, and wellbeing campaigns and improvement plans.
About You
We are looking for candidates with at least a NEBOSH Certificate and experience leading Health & Safety in a commercial construction environment. You should be an effective communicator who understands the unique challenges of different working environments and always prioritizes health, safety, and wellbeing in decision-making.
