Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with a large organisation, head-quartered in Kent, who are seeking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to lead their health and safety operations across all divisions.
Overview
The organisation is unique in its function, and as such, the role represents the opportunity to practice health and safety in a diverse and stimulating environment.
The Health and Safety Manager functions as the organisations subject lead for health and safety, managing a small health and safety team. The role is responsible for advising and guiding senior leadership for all health and safety related matters and legal compliance, including reporting, and presenting.
The role is further responsible for designing and implementing health and safety strategies and initiatives to continually improve and develop existing practices, policies, and systems. The role will be the main point of contact for external authorities and agencies establishing key relationships.
Travel will largely be local (Kent) and the working pattern will be a mix of office, field and homeworking (if desired).
Criteria
We are seeking a Nebosh Diploma Level 6 or equivalent qualified Health and Safety Manager who is able to apply their knowledge and skills to a diverse range of activities within a unique setting. Previous experience of writing, developing, and enhancing health and safety programs, including audits is essential.
