The Company

Assured Safety Recruitment is working with an established, successful professional constulancy service company who specialise in construction sector, they are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager.

As the Health & Safety Manager, you will oversee the safety, health environment, and quality assurance side of the business, 


  • You will develop, manage, supervise and coordinate work systems to ensure that the production or services of the company meet the highest quality standards and that the working practices of the company are delivered to the 18001 Safety Standards implemented. 
  • Reporting to the Company Director all instances of non-compliance. 
  • Day to Day operations to lead, develop and maintain Office and Project SHEQ management programmes and systems in written and online format recording and delivery through face-to-face contact, communication and team briefing. 
  • Support line management in delivering Site SHEQ objectives.
  • Assist with the preparation of tender documentation.
  • Assist in the development of the pre-construction phase plan into the Construction Phase Safety Plan.
  • Develop and continually improve the company Health and Safety approach.
  • Liaise with the Project and Managing Directors in the development and implementation of safety training programmes.
  • Liaise with governing bodies e.g., HSE and Local Authority on Health & Safety as required.
  • Support site management during critical periods of works and where possible take ownership for safety concerns.
  • Support project team in establishing systems relevant to the environmental / sustainability nature of each project.

 

 Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will require an experienced Health & Safety Manager who is self motivated and passionate. 

 

Your experience

You will preferably be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level (or equivalent), although those holding the NEBOSH General Certificate with significant experience are invited to apply. You will have experience working in construction on similar projects. Any experience in construction, or consultancy sectors would be beneficial. 

You will be a self-starter who is confident, with excellent communication skills. 

 

What’s on offer

Salary on offer is £50,000-60,000 plus Car and further beneftis
