Health and Safety Consultant (Home based)

Ideal location: Midlands (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Essex)

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + mileage + pension

The Company

Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with a growing Health and Safety Consultancy committed to employee personal development, to recruit a Health and Safety Consultant to join their team. About the role

You will be a key member of the Health and Safety Team, sharing a passion for the profession and keen to continue your professional development. You will provide health and safety consultancy for clients across a wide range of sectors such as (but not limited to!) manufacturing, construction, renewables, and quarrying.

You will be based from home, travelling to your client sites across the country/region. As it’s a varied role, you will have a mix of home, office and on-site activities, including consultancy, site inspections and training.

You will deliver a health and safety improvement service including site and document inspection, providing guidance and training to clients in relation to health and safety management, hazardous materials, waste management, occupational safety and health and construction safety regulations and supporting the development and implementation of the health and safety management system.

You will complete H&S audits and reviews - preparing reports as appropriate, advising clients on standards and best practice affecting their business and deliver training where appropriate. Also providing support to implement and maintain ISO accreditation.

You will also support the development of the inhouse, online safety management system.

About you

You will be flexible and adaptable to suit the changing needs of the business.

You will have experience practicing health and safety in industrial settings, ideally on a multi-site basis.

Ideally you will have experience in at least one of these sectors: manufacturing, construction, quarrying or renewable energy.

You will need a UK valid driving licence and access to car, with a willingness to travel.

You will hold or be working towards your Nebosh
