Environment Manager, field based with national travel
The Company
Assured Safety Recruitment has been enagaged by one of the UK's largest Construction Groups to assist with the recruitment of an Environment Manager for its largest and most successful division. The role is responsible for leading the divisions approach to Environmental Management such as responsibility for the strategy and corporate management system whilst also being an active and visible role within the business. they have multiple projects from the South Coast to Scotland, therefore the role will involve regular travel and overnight stays
About the role
You will provide environmental advice and guidance at all levels nationally, across the construction division comprising a diverse and large portfolio of commercial contracts.
Assist with the development and implementation of the environmental elements of the integrated management system (IMS) including the production of documents to maintain ISO14001 certification
Develop the environment strategy and management action plans for improvement within the business unit in line with corporate requirements
Lead and undertake inspections, audits and investigations where required, reporting on, and implementing lessons learned and improvements
Support, monitor and review performance in line with company processes to deliver current and future requirements Work in collaboration to contribute to business unit pre-contract and work-winning activities.
Your experience
Candidates will need to have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience as either an Environment Manager or be an Environment Advisor ready to move the next step in your career.
Ideally degree qualified in an Environment discipline
Experience of managing ISO 14001 management systems
Experience in a multi-site business, construction is helpful but not essential.
