Assured Safety Recruitment are currently working with a leading organisation in the Utilities industry to appoint a Head of Group Safety. As a proven proactive leader in Health & Safety, in this role you will report to the Board and hold responsibility for providing direction and expertise in Health, Safety and Environment across the organisation.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring the continual monitoring and improvement of accredited systems, ensuring processes and procedures are being adhered to across the organisation.
- Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture.
- Developing and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Providing advice, support, guidance and mentoring to the Health & Safety team.
- Managing investigations where required, reporting on findings and providing solutions to any shortcomings.
- Reviewing statistics to identify areas for improvement.
- Representing the organisation from a Health & Safety perspective with clients and external bodies.
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing Health & Safety in a similar role. You will be fully versed with HSQ management systems, inclusive of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001. You will hold the NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent qualification, and hold or be working toward Chartered Membership with IOSH.
You must be prepared to be proactive in this role and travel to sites throughout the South East.
