- Exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager with experience in the utilities industry to join this South East based contractor.
Based from their Hertfordshire office, you will also be expected to travel to sites across the South East area to carry out duties in this 'hand on' role. Duties include carrying out site inspections, accident and incident investigations, site audits to ensure compliance to Health & Safety systems, policies and procedures and produce reports on your findings. You will review strategies to continually improve working practices on site. You will work with clients, senior management and external agencies to ensure the organisation is compliant with industry best practice. You will also be responsible for training.
Applicants will hold the NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum Health & Safety qualification as well as having experience of working in a similar role in the utilities or civils construction industry. You will have excellent communication skills and will be confident producing reports and representing the organisation at external meetings as their Health & Safety specialist. You must hold a valid driving licence.
